If your home or business was out of water due to a main break it's important that you flush your pipes by following these simple instructions.
• Start at the highest level:
o Remove aerator screens from your faucets
• Open only the cold water; one by one, level by level
• Slowly open each internal cold faucet
• Once water begins to flow:
o Open the faucet all the way
o Allow water to run one minute
• If you have only one level:
o Begin the process at the outside faucet/hose bib closest to the meter. Indoors, remember to remove aerator screens for each faucet and repeat the process.
